From tiny accorns mighty oaks do grow

Due to all the work that has been done on the Church fabric over the past months  there is very little left in the Fabric Fund. The legacies and very generous donations of the 1970 will all have been spent and the considerable amount of interest that has been received over the years will have all ceased to accrue. An appeal has therefore been launched for as many as possible to put their small change in a jar or old sweet tube and collect it for one month (It can be any month to suit yourself) and bring it to church over the next twelve months and put it in the jar that will be provided. You may find counting the small coins fiddly they will all add up and our treasurer will be only too happy to count them. Any donation to the fabric fund even a few pence would be greatly appreciated.

At the PCC meeting in November it was decided that we would continue with this fundraising as it has been so successful. Please continue to save as our fabric will continue to need attention. One of the next jobs to be undertaken will be the repairs to the stained glass panel in the window on the south side of the chancel. At the present time we are seeking permission from the diocese to have this work carried out. When this has been received quotations for the repairs will be sought, a craftsman will then be appointed and the work will be carried out.

The total paid into our Fabric Fund in December was £39.00, increasing the total to £768.50 all from the small change collection. Thank you to everyone who contributed. This is a wonderful total for the year and as mentioned last month the tins will continue to be in Church

The total paid into our Fabric Fund in March was £21 bringing the total for 2010 to £77.00.
