Why is the vicar off for three months?

The idea of resting every seventh day is part of a Christian pattern of living.It's called the Sabbath Day rest as the Jews called their rest day the Sabbath.In many churches this is extended and for three months every seventh year clergy take three months off. Its called a sabbatical....
