The Vicars leaving
13 Feb 16
Just because the Rev. Peter Allan has announced his retirement from 5th June please don’t think that church activities will cease. Normal services will be maintained although there may be slight changes to the usual rotation, but every effort will be made to ensure that these will cause as little impact as possible.
The two wardens and the deputies will ensure that Baptisms, Weddings and Funerals will be conducted by arrangement as when Peter was on holiday.
Annual events including the Flower Festival and Christmas Tree Festival, will continue as before and contrary to some rumours that have been circulating that there will not be a Christmas Tree Festival in 2016. It will be held as for the last few years over the three weekends prior to Christmas. Full details will be circulated nearer the time.
Please do look at the magazine or church website www.ansleychurch.org for any details.
We the P.C.C. will ensure that when there is any news this will be circulated as soon as possible, but these things will need to take their course and it may be some time to before real progress can be announced, but please rest assured the wardens and members of the P.C.C. will all be seeking to serve the community to the best of their ability.

Having come to Ansley in 2003 Peter has seen many changes not only in people arriving and departing but also in the buildings. During his time with us we have refurbished both the church halls and carried out considerable repairs to the church building. We thank Peter for his work with us. And all wish Peter and Pauline a long and happy retirement as they move to be nearer their grandchildren.
